Air Canada to Launch Non-Stop Service Between Ottawa and Las Vegas

MONTREAL, May 31 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada announced today it is
expanding its service to Las Vegas by adding year-round, non-stop twice-weekly
flights from Ottawa starting September 6, 2007.
"Air Canada is the leading airline in the transborder market, flying more
often between Canada and the U.S. than any other carrier, said Daniel Shurz,
Vice-President Network Planning. "We are further consolidating that position
by adding a year-round, twice-weekly service between Ottawa and Las Vegas, one
of the most popular destinations in the United States for entertainment,
meetings and conventions."
Air Canada flight AC533 will depart Ottawa Thursdays and Sundays at 20:00
and arrive in Las Vegas at 22:00. The aircraft will then return, leaving Las
Vegas at 23:30 and arriving in Ottawa at 07:00. Flights will be operated using
a 120-seat Airbus A319 which features both Executive and Economy class
service.
Air Canada currently offers up to 53 weekly flights to Las Vegas from six
cities across Canada: Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa and
Montreal.
From Ottawa, Air Canada and Jazz offer over 400 flights a week to 15
destinations in North America, as well as London Heathrow.
Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz operate more non-stop flights within
Canada and to the United States than any other airline. Between Canada and the
United States, the carriers operate more than 435 non-stop flights per day on
81 routes from seven Canadian cities to 53 U.S. destinations.

Montreal-based Air Canada provides scheduled and charter air
transportation for passengers and cargo to more than 170 destinations on five
